FIR filed in AAP, BJP clashes; 28 injured

Police late Wednesday night registered an FIR in connection with clashes between supporters of Aam Aadmi Party and BJP outside the saffron party headquarters in New Delhi, which left 28 persons injured.

The FIR was filed at Parliament Street police station on the charges of rioting, preventing public servants from performing their duty, damaging public properties, and causing hurt. 

Several people from both sides were arrested in this connection, a senior police officer said. 

As many as 28 persons -- 13 AAP activists, 10 BJP supporters, four policemen and a mediaperson -- were injured in the clashes, the officer added. 

AAP workers clashed with BJP activists outside the saffron party headquarters here hours after former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was detained briefly in Gujarat.
