Bihar AAP leader arrested for code violation

AAP leader Parveen Amanullah and six party workers were arrested today for allegedly violating the poll code of conduct, police said.        

Amanullah, who quit the Nitish Kumar government to join the AAP recently, is tipped to contest from the Patliputra Lok Sabha seat, presently represented by Lalu Prasad's friend-turned-foe and JD-U leader Ranjan Yadav.        

They were staging a protest outside a power department office allegedly in violation of the poll code.        

They were arrested from the dharna site and were released later.
