Naveen had rejected Modi's help during Cyclone Phailin: BJP
March 05, 2014  22:27
The BJP today rejected Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's allegation that Gujarat had not extended any help for the victims of Cyclone Phailin.

"A day after the cyclone made its landfall, Modiji called up Naveen and asked if the Gujarat government can be of any help to Odisha. Naveen said the situation doesn't warrant any outside help," state BJP president K V Singh Deo said, reacting to Patnaik's statements given at three different public meetings.

Patnaik, while targeting the BJP's prime ministerial candidate, had said, "Where were Congress President Sonia Gandhi, party vice-president Rahul Gandhi, BJP President Rajnath Singh and the party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi when people suffered due to Cyclone Phailin and the subsequent floods."
