Virat Kohli shoots past Dhoni in Google search trends

Virat Kohli has pipped MS Dhoni as in Google search trends. A last minute withdrawal by Dhoni and the stunning knock by Kohli in the debut match of the Asia Cup battle against Bangladesh may have been the cause.

A search trend analysis over the past 30 days now reveals how the online search on Kohli is on the rise leaving the popular Indian captain Dhoni now slipping to second spot. Kohli's alleged link-up with Anushka Sharma has helped as well.

For all that, Sachin Tendulkar still rules as the undisputed number # 1 cricketing icon as per search trends. Virendera Sehwag and Suresh Raina are seeing significant traction on Google search placing them at fourth and fifth place respectively.
