Former army official moves HC against 'Captain' Vijaykant

The Madras high court today directed police to register a case against DMDK chief and Opposition Leader in the Tamil Nadu assembly Vijayakant, if a cognizable offence is made out on a complaint against him for using 'Captain' before his name.

K Thandabani, a former Indian Army official, had on February 14 lodged a police complaint against Vijayakant for prefixing the army rank 'Captain' in his name.

Since no action was taken by police on his complaint, he moved the high court to take action against the actor.
