Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh, who rejoined the BJP on Sunday, was today appointed as its national vice president, marking his rehabilitation in the party.

BJP President Rajnath Singh announced the appointment of Kalyan Singh as the party's vice president with immediate effect.

The party president had welcomed the former UP CM back in the party at the Lucknow rally addressed by Narendra Modi and announced that an important responsibility would be given to him in the BJP soon.
