Why didn't you step down, Mr Antony?

Defence Minister A K Antony, not Admiral DK Joshi, should have resigned from his post over the recent mishap on INS Sindhuratna, in which two naval officers were killed.

The 26-year-old submarine was not dismantled despite being two years past its sell-by date, a file about getting new batteries for it has been gathering dust for over two years at the ministry of defence and the MoD, in spite of being desperately in the need for one, has been reluctant to commission a new submarine.

So, who is responsible for the mishap, Mr Antony?
