President approves division of AP, creation of Telangana

President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday gave his assent to Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill 2014.

President's rule has been imposed in Andhra Pradesh, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said on Saturday.

The decision of the Centre to impose President's rule comes in the wake of the resignation of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy over the decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh.
