UPA's sex education programme crude: Harsh Vardhan

Dr Harsh Vardhan says that the crudity and graphic representation of culturally objectionable symbols in UPA's sex education programme was not sex education.

He said that even the UPA-ruled states had opposed the programme and after protests the government had been forced to modify it.

Sex education that builds societies free of gender discrimination, teenage pregnancy, HIV-AIDS, pornography addiction should be a goal.
