Rape-accused Tarun Tejpal's bail extended till July 1

JUST IN: Supreme Court extends interim bail of Tehelka founder editor Tarun Tejpal till July 1.
The apex court had on 19 May granted him interim bail for three weeks to enable him to attend the cremation of his mother, who had died on 18 May, and subsequent rituals. It had on 3 June further extended the interim bail till 27 June.
Tejpal (50) has been charge sheeted for allegedly raping, sexually harassing and outraging the modesty of a junior colleague during an event held at a hotel in Goa in November last year. Tejpal was arrested on 30 November, 2013 and is presently out on interim bail.
