The reason for the delay in the expansion of the Union Cabinet, according to buzz in Delhi, is that the new ministers will find it difficult to get government bungalows, given the fact of overstaying UPA ministers.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu is under pressure from the PMO to evict the former ministers, but that is easier said that done, it seems.

MPs from Andhra Pradesh, who believe in Vaastu Shastra, are keen on specific bungalows and apartments.

Naidu, who is flooded with calls from former UPA ministers, present NDA ministers, former governors and former Congress leaders, has been telling his close friends that he will run away from Delhi if this stress continues.

The ministry has served eviction notices to all current occupants who have been asked to vacate the bungalows by June 18. The Lok Sabha Secretariat has also sent notices to about 265 former MPs in this connection.
