Amarnath Yatra begins

The holy Amarnath Yatra begins today and already 1,160 devotees have begun the trip. However, snow accumulation in the Himalayas is making the trek difficult. Officials said snow was 4 to 5 feet deep in some stretches and around 300 men were working hard to clear the path.
