Will Dr Singh join Modis delegation to US?
June 25, 2014  18:12
Twelve members of Parliament are part of the Indian delegation to the UN General Assembly session to be held in the third week of September.

The PMO has informally sounded out former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh to be a part of the delegation, for two reasons. One, that he could spend time with this daughter, who lives there, and two, to fill the Congress quota on the delegation.

The BJP will have seven MPs on the delegation while the AIADMK-TDP-Akali Dal and Trinamool Congress will form the rest, leaving one slot for the Congress.

Modi also wants to take along two senior journalists on the trip -- obviously one will be from Gujarat.
