BMC gives day's time to Campa Cola Society residents to vacate

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation officials on Saturday agreed to give a day's time to the Campa Cola Housing Society residents to contemplate on the eviction order. 

Earlier, today the BMC squad reached the society to demolish their houses and cut off the power and water supply. However, when the residents appealed to them to give them another day to take a final decision, the officials agreed to it.
 
The civic body officials officials accompanied by Mumbai police that set out to demolish 140 illegal flats in the Campa Cola Housing Society here had to return without taking any action as the beleaguered residents opposed their entry into the complex on Friday. 

The BMC has registered a case against the residents for unlawfully restraining the government officials for performing their duties
