The BMC is back at the Campa Cola compound in Mumbai, or rather outside the gates. This time, with a bigger team. Anand Waghralkar, BMC official at the Campa Cola Compound, in Worli, says they will not use force to enter the compound to begin evictions. The matter will go to the court. (Karvayi toh hogi, force ka istemaal aaj nahi hoga.)

The BMC has videographed their attempt to enter the society and will submit it as evidence of its failure to enforce the order by the Supreme Court to carry out the demolition of the 102 illegal flats.

Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan has said the government cannot interfere in the issue since the matter has already been decided by the Supreme Court. "We are simply following the order of the Supreme Court," said the CM.

Seventeen days after the Supreme Court rejected a petition by the residents against its earlier order asking them to vacate the flats, officials of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai reached the complex along with the police to cut power, water and piped gas supply to the illegal flats, at 10 am today.
