Sushil Kumar Shinde likely to replace Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan

TV channels are reporting that Prithviraj Chavan might be asked to step down as the chief minister of Maharashtra and the post will be handed over to Sushil Kumar Shinde. Sources say that the Congress is keen on a change following the dismal results in the recently held Lok Sabha polls. The Congress alliance partner in Maharashtra, the Nationalist Congress Party, has also reportedly expressed unhappiness with Chavan and has sought a replacement.
