Sitting for hours increases risk of certain cancers

Being a couch potato can raise your risk of developing cancer! Physical inactivity has been linked with increased risk of diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular disease, and according to a new study a sedentary lifestyle can also raise the chances of developing certain cancers.

When the highest levels of sedentary behaviour were compared to the lowest, the researchers found a statistically significantly higher risk for three types of cancer - colon, endometrial, and lung.
