UK: Will see what can be done to lift mango ban

British High Commissioner James Bevan meets Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal. He said the UK had imposed a ban on Indian mangoes due to concerns of pesticides coming in, will see what we can do to lift the ban.

The European Union's "temporary ban", on Indian mangoes, came into force on May 1 and was to remain effective until December 2015 after authorities in Brussels found consignments infested with fruit flies that they feared could damage European salad crops.
