Angry minister guns for secretary

A Union minister who was in a combative mood today shot off a two-page, top secret letter to the Cabinet Secretary giving four illustrations of how disobedient a secretary to the Government of India was.

The latter's fault? Taking off, without informing the minister, on a two-nation official tour.

The minister wanted this bureaucrat shunted out from her ministry -- before he lands back in New Delhi.

In her letter to the CabSec she mentioned that the said secretary had defied the civil conduct rules and flew out of India when the first session of Parliament was on, and that too to pass the vote of thanks to the President of India.
