Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first Independence Day speech on August 15 this year, from the Red Fort ramparts, is expected to be aggressive on development.

Those in the know say that it will be of a tenor exhibited by none of his predecessors so far.

Modi's I-Day speech will be a combination of his mindset that was revealed in his 500 public rallies, contents of the BJP's manifesto, and the high points of his first ever budget that would have effectively been tabled by then by Arun Jaitley.
