June 10, 2014  03:33

The former Chief Minister, B.S. Yeddyurappa, is expected to get a post in the Bharatiya Janata Party national organisation. According to sources in the BJP, there are no vacant posts in the State that suit the stature of Mr. Yeddyurappa, and the party does not want to abruptly curtail the term of incumbent State president Pralhad Joshi.

"Several posts in the party's national organisation have fallen vacant in the wake of the formation of the new government. But, a clear picture on the post to be given to Mr. Yeddyurappa is expected to emerge only after the appointment of the new national president,' sources said.

According to them, the party central leadership is expected to focus on the appointment of a new national president before filling up other organisational posts.
