Modi govt orders CBI probe in Badaun gang rape case

The Modi administration has ordered a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the gang rape and murder of two Dalit sisters in Badaun.

The decision came hours after the Bahujan Samaj party demanded dismissal of the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh over the deteriorating law and order situation and staged a walkout in the Rajya Sabha.
