Govt committed to 33 pc reservation for women in Parliament: Pranab

"We will enable the education system to nurture the scheduled castes. Steps will be taken to encourage scientific practice. We will try to end the rural-urban divide," says President Pranab Mukherjee in the joint session of Parliament.

"The government will launch a Swaach Bharat mission. It will adopt a policy of zero tolerance towards violence against women. The government is committed towards 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament."
