Sumitra Mahajan to be elected Lok Sabha Speaker today

Sumitra Mahajan, an eight-time BJP member of Parliament from Indore, is set to be elected as the Speaker of the Lok Sabha today.

She has been representing Indore since 1989 and is the longest serving woman parliamentarian. Mahajan, who has never lost a Lok Sabha election, is expected to be elected unanimously.
