New York's Penn station evacuated after suspicious package found

New York's Penn station has been evacuated as authorities investigate a suspicious package.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the evacuation took place Thursday night at the Manhattan station. He says the suspicious package was reported at about 10 pm

Long Island Railroad service has been temporarily suspended between Penn Station and the Jamaica section of Queens.
