Now, two Congressmen are sparring over India's new Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Shashi Tharoor, MP and party spokesman, has earned the ire of his colleague Mani Shankar Aiyar for saying, "it would be churlish not to acknowledge" Modi's efforts to reach out to everyone.

Aiyar accused Tharoor of immaturity. "I am neither angry or offended...deeply disappointed that an intelligent man like Tharoor should come to such judgements... It demonstrates immaturity that according to Tharoor, we should stop being churlish," he told NDTV.

"...This kind of chameleon politics is undesirable," he said.
