Kejriwal charged in the Gadkari defamation case

It's definitely not Aam Aadmi Party's day. Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has been charged in the Nitin Gadkari defamation case. The trial is scheduled to begin from August 2.

Kejriwal is charged under Section 499 and Section 500 of the Indian Penal Code.

However, Kejriwal has been exempted from personal appearance in court.

BJP leader Nitin Gadkari filed a case against Kejriwal after the AAP released a list of 'most corrupt leaders'. Kejriwal, who refused to furnish a bail bond, was also jailed in the case. He was later released after he complied with the court orders.
