Modi, Obama to meet in Washington in September

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has confirmed to United States President Barack Obama that he will have a bilateral meeting with him in Washington in the last week of September this year, The Times of India reports. 

The meeting won't happen on the sidelines of the United Nations general assembly in New York but in the form of a full-fledged bilateral summit in Washington. Obama had invited Modi when he called to to congratulate the new PM after his May 16 win.

After the 2002 riots, Modi was denied visa to the US.
