Delhi Cong reposes 'full confidence' in Rahul, Sonia

Amid criticism of Rahul Gandhi in the wake of party's electoral debacle, Delhi Congress today thanked him and party president Sonia Gandhi for the "effective" election campaign and expressed "full confidence" in their leadership. A resolution to this effect was passed at a meeting of current and former MLAs.

The meeting was presided over by Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Arvinder Singh Lovely. "The meeting thanked Soniaji and Rahulji for their vigorous campaigning and expressed full confidence in their leadership," DPCC chief spokesperson Mukesh Sharma said. Sharma said the meeting also decided not to support the Aam Aadmi Party to form the government again.

"We have decided not to support AAP to form the government again. Arvind Kejriwal had deserted the people of Delhi and the party felt he should not be given another chance to run the city," said Sharma.
