The Shiv Sena in its party mouthpiece Saamna defends its MPs who force-fed a catering supervisor at the Maharashtra government's official guest house in Delhi. The man, Arshad Zubair, was fasting for Ramzan.

"The incident was blown out of proportion and given a communal colour," the Shiv Sena said. "The MPs revolted against mismanagement at Maharashtra Sadan. They only raised their voice against injustice. We will not tolerate a Marathi manus being insulted."

The party further slammed the Maharashtra government, saying the bad food at Maharashtra Sandan should be force-fed to the chief minister. "Rubbery rotis should be fed to the CM," the Sena said.
