Narayan Rane meets Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader and former Maharashtra industries minister Narayan Rane met Rahul Gandhi today. Rane said, "I had come to tell him the reason why I resigned. He will meet Sonia Gandhi later today."

Rane, who was pitching for a leadership change ahead of the state assembly elections, on Monday resigned from the government.

Rane has however not quit the Congress. A chief ministerial aspirant, he was upset with the party for not giving him the top post, which he always claimed was promised to him when he joined the Congress after leaving Shiv Sena in 2005.
