Indian embassy asks students to postpone travel to Ukraine

In view of prevailing unrest in eastern Ukraine, the Indian embassy in Kyiv today advised Indian students planning to return for their new academic year in institutions in the areas in that country, to postpone their travel.

The embassy has asked students planning to return in the first half of August to their educational institutions in Donetsk and Lugansk regions, for the new academic year commencing in September, to postpone their travel plans and await the embassy's advice in this regard.

"India's embassy in Kyiv advises students to postpone plans 2 return 2 Eastern Ukraine for academic year in September," spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairs Syed Akbaruddin tweeted.
