Why is Cong quiet on Lanka, but vociferous about Gaza?

AIADMK MPs on Monday silenced the Congress in both houses of Parliament over Justice Markandey Katju's remarks against the DMK. Dr Maitreyan raised the pitch asking why the Congress or the UPA had refrained from condemning the Tamil genocides in Sri Lanka. He said when Gulam Nabi Azad moved a resolution on the Israel attack on Gaza, he should have added Sri Lankan attrocities on Tamils. Congress MPs kept their heads down.
