Bye bye MH17: Flight code MH17 to be retired

Malaysia Airline says it is retiring the flight number of the plane that was shot down over Ukraine. In a statement, the carrier said, "Kuala Lumpur service, MH17 flight number will be retired out of respect for our crew and passengers of the mentioned flight code. This will take into effect on 25 July 2014." It added that the new flight code replacing MH17 will be: MH19 - AMS/KUL.
