All firemen stuck in Mumbai building rescued

Finally, some good news. All the firefighters stuck inside the Mumbai highrise, Lotus Business Centre in Andheri have been rescued. One fireman lost his life in the incident.

Fire brigade, navy and Coast Guard personnel fought a grim battle to rescue the 32 firemen trapped on the terrace of the 22-storey commercial building in the western suburbs of Mumbai. The 21st floor was ablaze for over four hours. Two two helicopters were deployed to evacuate them. The fire which was doused earlier has now been reignited because of strong winds.
