Will BJP form govt in Delhi?

The BJP is reportedly making attempts to stake claim to form government in Delhi, which has been under President's Rule for the last six months. Sources said if the BJP does stake claim, senior city leader Jagdish Mukhi will be its candidate for chief minister.

While officially the party has denied any such move, sources said the Delhi unit is attempting to make a last ditch effort to form government. In elections held last December the BJP had won 31 seats and its ally, the Akali Dal, had won one. At 32, they were four short of a majority.
