Outgoing Puducherry Lt Governor alleges state government of corruption
July 16, 2014  09:18
Virendra Kataria, the outgoing Puducherry Lt Governor, levelled charges against the Puducherry chief minister and chief secretary of corruption and said that his anti-corruption stand was the reason for his ouster.

He said that local administration, headed by the All India NR Congress, was very corrupt and they feared that he would expose their corrupt activities. Kataria also added that he did not think that the change of the government at the Centre was responsible for his removal.

Kataria, who was asked to step down from his post on July 11, said he planned to meet the president and seek an explanation for his removal.
