Israel to mull on Egypt's Gaza truce proposal today

As Israel continued air strikes against Gaza for the seventh day, Israel's security cabinet is due to meet on Tuesday to discuss truce between the two countries proposed by Egypt. 

Meanwhile Hamas has rejected the idea of ceasefire and said that the group will not accept truce unless a proper deal is reached upon to end the crisis from both sides, the AFP reported. 

"In times of war, you don't cease fire and then negotiate," he told AFP. 

He said Hamas had not received any official proposal, and that even an Israeli cessation of hostilities "on one side" would have "no value" after the damage it has wreaked in Gaza, the report stated.
 
The discussion will take place when US Secretary of State John Kerry will arrive in the country tin a bid to end the ongoing crisis.
