Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished Germany and Argentina good luck ahead of the World Cup finals tonight. "Amazing how the tournament has brought fans from across the world together. Best wishes to Argentina and Germany."

Modi is making a stopover in Berlin tonight before he heads to Brazil for the BRICS Summit.

The PM was invited to attend to World Cup finals in Rio by Brazil President Dilma Rousseff, but has decided to skip it.
