Why do you keep Jaya's photos in your pockets, Modi asks AIADMK MPs
July 09, 2014  13:19
Our mole in Parliament tells us that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was curious when he spotted Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa's photographs peeping out of the pockets of 48 AIADMK MPs.

Modi was in the Central Hall of Parliament, on his way to the Rajya Sabha from the Lok Sabha. He asked an AIADMK MP about the pictures and it was Dr V Maitreyan, Leader of the Rajya Sabha, who stepped forward and answered Modi's question.

Maitreyan, who answered in Hindi, said the photograph was a token of the reverence and respect with which the MPs held their leader. They said it's their way of keeping 'Amma' close to their hearts.

The question is, will BJP MPs now take a page of this book of sycophancy and carry Modi's pictures? Wait and watch.
