Venkaiah asks parties to maintain decorum in Parliament

Taking exception to the TMC disrupting the proceedings in the Lok Sabha over Rail budget, Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today appealed to all political parties to maintain decency and decorum in the House.

"I appeal to all political parties to maintain decency and decorum in the House. You have the right to protest, but MPs should not deprive their fellow parliamentarians of the opportunity to express their views about their regions," Naidu told reporters outside Parliament House.

Terming "unfair" the attempt by TMC to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Rail Budget, he said that several railway projects are being executed in West Bengal.

"It is unfair to target the Prime Minister....There are many railway projects that are being executed in West Bengal," Naidu said underlining that the Government is ready to discuss issues including price rise.
