Edward Snowden asks Russia to extend asylum

Former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden has applied to extend his stay in Russia. Anatoly Kucherena, a lawyer for Snowden, said that he has applied to the country's migration authorities because his one-year permit is expiring at the end of this month.
