If there is one minister in Narendra Modi's cabinet who has a charmed all the southern states -- it is none other than External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj.

In Kerala, Sushma has a demi-god status after the successful return of the 46 nurses stranded in Iraq.

Sushma is called Chinna Amma in Telangana where locals worship her -- her picture is bathed in milk.

In Karnataka, she is well known as she contested from Bellary.

And in Tamil Nadu, thanks to the Indian fishermen issue, it is well-known that Sushma strived hard to get them repatriated.

Today, inside the central hall in Parliament, Congress MPs from Kerala were seen thanking Sushma Swaraj for her efforts to get the nurses back to India.
