LIVE! MEA confirms ALL Indian nurses free, AI plane on the way to Erbil

MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin holding his presser on the situation in Iraq and the nurses who will be on their way back home tomorrow.

"All the Indian nurses are free. It has been a day of dramatic happenings. Conventional tools of diplomacy don't exist. EAM Sushma Swaraj is leading the diplomatic effort.

"There are no hopeless situtions only people who feel situaions are hopeless. Nurses are in touch with embassy officials. The nurses will move to Erbil tonight. AI plane will land tonight, has already taken off from Delhi.

Seventy others will also fly back. The plane on its way back will fly from Erbil to Kochi and then to Delhi if required. A senior Indian diplomat is on that plane and will coordinate with Kurdish and aviation authorities."
