Pay today or we cut power: NTPC tells Delhi govt

The National Thermal Power Corporation has Delhi government's plea not to stop power supply to BSES Yamuna Power Ltd for defaulting on payments.

Sources say that NTPC has warned of snapping power supply to BSES Yamuna Power Limited if payment not made today.

However, BSES Yamuna Power Ltd has said it has no funds to pay public sector generation units for power supplies. The company had written to the Delhi government asking for an extension of credit and more time to clear its dues.
