Court rejects Salman Khan's plea to club two cases against him

A Jodhpur court today rejected actor Salman Khan's plea to club the two cases against him lodged under the Arms Act and the Wildlife Act and directed him to continue recording his statement in connection with the first case.

Chief Judicial Magistrate (Rural) Chandra Kala Jain rejected Khan's plea to club the two cases and listed the matter for hearing on March 10 for defence to produce evidence.

The actor had requested the court to club the two cases -- one under the Arms Act and the other related to poaching of blackbucks in Kankani on the intervening night of 1-2 October 1998 -- on the ground that both are related to each other.
