Modi to share dais with Lata Mangeshkar in Mumbai today

Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will share dais with legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar on Monday in Mumbai.

Mangeshkar had earlier endorsed Modi's nomination saying that her vote will go to Gujarat Chief Minister.

She endorsed him as a preferred PM choice at a function in Pune.

"I hope Narendra Modi becomes the next Prime Minister," Mangeshkar had said.

Modi and Lata will share dais for a event in Mumbai, which will mark the end of the golden jubilee celebrations of one of India's famous patriotic songs, "Ae Mere Watan ke Logon".

Nearly 1 lakh people are expected to gather and sing the tune to mark the occasion.
