Delhi: Married woman raped by friend in moving car

A 28-year-old married woman was allegedly raped by her friend in a moving car in East Delhi on Sunday, police said.

The incident came to light when locals found the woman crying near Anand Vihar Bus Terminal on Sunday evening.

"She was taken to the local police station where she told the police that her friend raped her in a moving car in front

of two other men. As per the woman, they also thrashed her when she tried to resist," a police official said.

The woman was taken to a nearby government hospital were doctors confirmed the rape, police said.

Police have registered a case and a manhunt has been launched to nab the perpetrator.

The victim told the police that she had come to meet her friend as he promised her of a job in some factory.
