French President to leave partner for actress?

French President Francois Hollande is all set to formally announce his separation from his partner Valerie Trierweiler, according to media reports.

The separation comes in the wake of reports about Hollande having an affair with actress Julie Gayet.

The French president is yet to deny the affair. Instead, he has talked about going through a "difficult moment" in his relationship with Trierweiler.

Hollande had left Segolene Royal, his partner of many years and the mother of his four children, in 2007 for Trierweiler.
