2014 should be the year of India's resurgence: Pranab

"India must find its own solutions to its problems," said Mukherjee.

He added that "whoever wins the 2014 Lok Sabha polls is less important that the fact that whosoever wins the polls should be undiluted in their commitment towards stability".

The President also lamented that "democratic institutions are being undermined".

2014, said Mukherjee, should be the year of "resurgence" for India.

The former veteran Congress leader also took the opportunity to take on the Aam Aadmi Party, saying, "Anarchy cannot be a substitute for democracy".
